Package design done for a fictional company “Jimi’s Own.” Based in Vermont and founded by a father and son duo, Jimi’s Own produces small batch, gluten free organic crackers.
This package design brings the classic vibe of the 60’s and 70’s to the modern shelf. The package was designed to be simple to produce and print, yet unique and eye catching. The design balances both the budget needs of a small business, with the high impact look of a great package design.
A great package design sells itself on first glance. The shelf is the arena in which products literally duke it out for consumer attention.
The accompanying ad campaign for this product references classic 1960’s and 70’s rock and roll songs, to reference the roots of the company and to appeal to the boomer and millennial audiences, the two key demographics in the organic snacks market. The package was not simply designed digitally, it was physically crafted and built, and even tested on the shelf in the context of the existing marketplace.
